Not Just Pho

I’ve been here twice and I’ve been happy with both of my experiences! The food is phenomenal and I was blown away by how affordable this restaurant is esp compared to the other Vietnamese restaurant on the other side of town. The brisket pho is amazing and the meat is so good food came out quick and was steaming hot! What’s cool is that you can get the toppings yourself and I wish more restaurants did that. The second time I got the chicken fried rice and added bean sprouts. I’m not usually a fan of fried rice but damn, I was really impressed because it was delicious. My boyfriend got the combination fried rice (chicken and pork) and he really liked it too. I’m not usually a fan of pork, but it was good here! My absolutely favorite thing at this restaurant is the chicken egg rolls. They come with sweet and sour sauce and oh man, everybody needs to try them. I could easily eat 5 of them tbh. Drinks we got: black sugar boba, Thai tea, and a black tea with passion fruit syrup. The black sugar boba wasn’t my favorite. The Thai tea was honestly perfect. It wasn’t incredibly sweet like most places make it so I really appreciate that and please don’t make it sweeter, I’m begging! I also appreciate that they don’t add so much ice to the drinks! I didn’t think the restaurant was dirty. I’m not sure why the restaurant needs to have decor but what do I know lol I don’t really think this restaurant has servers but if you go up to them, they’ll be more than happy to help you. They also put out the take out trays/containers which is nice. I saw a lot of people inside the restaurant and getting take out so it’s definitely good lol I will say that the Banh mi sells out really quick unfortunately so come earlier in the day if you want that.

The Hidden gem of Hurst! Food was excellent! Everything came out quick but the steak was cooked perfectly, seasoned very well with great flavors. Son is a somewhat picky eater but he devoured his kids fried rice. The combo rice bowl with two meats was flavorful and filling.

Update: I went back today 9/5 and got me a vermicelli bowl, Bahn Mi sandwich and as always a Thai Tea. I believe she is the owner, but she is sweet as pie and always very accommodating. Although I’ve seen comments about how basic the restaurant is, but it’s a good low key vibe. Thank you so much to the owners for the great food. I placed a pick up order for my Aunt for a shrimp vermicelli bowl and forgot to order the Thai tea and when I called the lady that took my order over the phone was friendly. Upon arriving she was prompt and made sure I was taken care of right away. Will definitely be coming back here.

Had a small hiccup with Doordash delivery, but was met with enthusiastic customer service when I called to rectify the issue. My husband and I have come here it seems every other week and they never disappoint! I got the Rare Steak Pho and it was FABULOUS! I couldn't bother my husband with picture-taking as he devoured the Steak Fried Rice so quickly!!!! Love the family atmosphere in the restaurant itself, such sweet staff. Cannot wait to visit again.

I give this restaurant a 5 star because it is the Best Vietnamese food in H.E.B area! Couple down falls ventilation is horrible be prepared to smell like fried cooking oil and grease if your dining in, there’s literally no airflow in the restaurant, no complain at all about the food BUT size of pho; large bowl is well a medium bowl so it is a bit pricey for the size that is given. Btw don’t go off google hours, hours really vary off of when owner feels like operating(no hard feelings). If you’re looking for great tasting Vietnamese food, please stop in here!

I usually get the steak bahn mi from here. Out of all the Vietnamese restaurants I’ve went to in the DFW area, they’re the most generous with their ingredients and give you a really good serving size. Very reasonable prices and great flavor.

Good food and nice staff. Pork bahn mi and the shrimp blanket were awesome. Viet ice coffee was good too.

Amazing restaurant! Come here you won’t regret it. This is one of my favorite restaurants in DFW area. Affordable prices and delicious authentic tasting food.
